Please put reading at the centre of your curriculum and of your classroom activities.

Every single child needs to learn to read to be able to survive successfully in the modern world. You can no longer get any job, including as a building labourer, without being able to read, complete forms and use the internet!!

If you want to understand what not being able to read does to adults, see our video links on our Adult Literacy page or go to Read Easy

We have some case studies, including The Oaks Primary Academy, which put reading at the centre of its curriculum and subsequently was rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

To see what schools have thought about our help, look here.

You may come across pupils who struggle with reading because they have some form of medical condition which is stopping them. Some of these barriers to reading are easily diagnosed and often can be fixed or ameliorated cheaply and quickly. You may also find that the behaviour of these pupils will improve in the classroom as well.

We can advise on some of these and point you to solutions.
