Suffolk Libraries
Borrow books free from your local library. It's also a nice place to drop into regularly to find a quiet spot to read with your child, or to read yourself.
Libraries now offer much more than just books, with fun events for kids and parents; so look through the events in the list below and keep an eye on your local library.
We (LTR) borrow books from Suffolk Libraries to enrich our Storytime sessions at Early Years groups around the town. It's always fun to discover new books, old favourites and rhymes to share.
Suffolk Libraries are a charity providing safe, fun and inspiring spaces. Visit the library to find a book to read, to share with your child or join in with a rhyme time session.
It's free to borrow books for all, children up to the age of 13 (Young Adult) don't get any overdue charges. You can borrow up to 20 books for a minimum of 3 weeks and renew online to avoid any charges. Your library card allows you to borrow books, audio books as well as online newspapers and magazines.
The libraries offer free, fun sessions for babies, toddlers and young children. Sing along with a rhyme, listen to a story or join in a craft activity. A chance to have fun, meet other parents and share time with your child. There are lots of groups for school age children to enjoy too, such as Lego clubs.
To join the library you need to live or work in Suffolk. Take along proof of address when you go to sign up for a free library card. The staff will be more than happy to help you with the form.
